According to French journalist Manu Lonjon, Arsenal held discussions about midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai with Red Bull Salzburg.
With the 19-year-old having only two years left on his contract, Salzburg will be considering offers for one of their key men this summer. So, Szoboszlai could move on to a high-profile European side later in 2020.
Lonjon claimed that Arsenal and AC Milan are in advanced talks when asked who is prepared to rival Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of the Hungary international.
And now, the Gunners have allegedly made progress in negotiations on the Szoboszlai deal.
However, it is expected that the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic will result in Arsenal having a quieter transfer window than originally planned.
Szoboszlai, who could cost £25 m, has contributed 15 goals and 22 assists for the Austrian club from his 58 outings.
