Carlton Cole, Former West Ham and England striker, revealed that he made a cardinal- and hilarious- mistake before one team training session.
“The truth is, instead of vitamins, I took Viagra,” noted Carlton Cole in an interview for the English media.
Cole has played seven times for England and has changed eight clubs in his career. He concluded his playing career three years ago in Indonesia, where he once played for Persib Bandung.
The confusion began with Jerame Defoe: “He took it because he thought it was vitamins and that it was good for his body, and as soon as we told him what he did, his facial expression was priceless.”
Defoe further recalls in an interview with The Sun, “I just told him – you’ll have to fight this for the next few hours, my friend.”
“What can I tell you, these are things I want to erase from my memories, but my teammates and friends tease me so much that it’s incredible,” Cole concluded.
He also joked about it: “You can imagine, in that training I was the fastest of all, which is logical since I had three legs.”
