Giorgio Chiellini made an important distinction when it comes to Mino Raiola client Moise Kean, having criticized Felipe Melo and Balotelli in his autobiography.
Chiellini wrote about Kean, his former Juventus teammate, assuring that he is ‘nothing like Mario Balotelli, even though he’s been punished many, many times.’
Since moving to Everton, the teenage Italy striker has struggled and has repeatedly been linked to a return to Serie A for Roma or Milan.
During the European Championships, Kean and Roma midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo were omitted from the Italy Under-21 squad, as they were consistently late in team meetings.
Meanwhile, Balotelli is on the verge of early termination of his contract with Brescia today, as it has been confirmed that he has not returned to training yet.
“Balotelli’s only contribution is the way he shoots. There are those who compare him to Moise Kean, a lad who might appear to be rebellious and impossible to deal with, but he is nothing like Mario,” wrote the Juventus captain.
He went on, “Of course, he was fined many, many times in the Juventus youth academy, but when he played for the senior team, he always acted very respectfully towards the existing group.
“At times he didn’t hear the alarm and would turn up late, but that sort of behaviour can be changed without much difficulty.”
