Alan Pardew quit his job as ADO Den Haag manager on Tuesday after the Dutch Eredivisie club retained its top flight status according to PA News Agency.
Den Haag was seven points away from safety and almost likely to be in the relegation play-offs until the season was over due to coronavirus last week.
The contracts for the administrative staff of the club were due to expire on 30 June. The decision for Pardew to quite was apparently arrived at by mutual consent.
The Dutch FA did not impose any relegation or promotion, which means that Den Haag remains, but Pardew and coaches Chris Powell and Paul Butler do not have their contracts extended.
