According to Catalunya Radio, Barcelona holds a €15 million buy-back option for their left-sided star Marc Cucurella, which they may use this summer.
Calling Cucurella back would mean an exit for Junior Firpo, who hasn’t persuaded coach of his indisposability since joining Real Betis in 2019.
The Madrid-based team had previously exercised a six million euro buying right for Cucurella in April for keeping the contract permanent on credit from Barcelona at Getafe. Now, it appears, they will cash in on this clause to get him back to their club.
While the main focus for all teams is returning to practice after being in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, Barcelona is hard at work setting the next summer transfer goals and one of them probably will be Marc Cucurella.
