French striker Olivier Giroud (33) and Argentine goalkeeper Willy Caballero (38) have extended their contract with English Premier League side Chelsea for another season.
Giroud arrived at Stamford Bridge in September 2018 from Arsenal and has scored 21 goals in 76 appearances in the Blues jersey so far.
On the other hand, Caballero arrived at Chelsea in 2017 from Manchester City and has made 31 appearances so far.
“I am thrilled to be able to continue my journey and adventure in the ranks of the ‘Blues’. I can’t wait to get back on the field and enjoy competitive football with my teammates,” the French striker told for club’s website.
Argentine goalkeeper Caballero also stays at Stamford Bridge. “Times are tough for everyone, so I feel blessed for this occasion and I truly appreciate it,” Caballero said.
“Since arriving at the club, Olivier has excelled as a professional and as a man in general,” said Blues manager Frank Lampard, commenting on Giroud’s stay at the club.
For Caballero, Lampard has these words: “I believe in Willy, he trains great and is a top professional. His quality and experience are invaluable in the locker room.”
