Ander Herrera claimed Paul Pogba could grow toward his full potential by playing for Old Trafford. He would also be helping Manchester United move up the table of the Premier League.
Reports have suggested that United is prepared to cash in on the World Cup winner during the next transfer window, with Pogba already expressing a desire to leave Old Trafford.
However, Herrera, a former France international teammate, feels that after the coronavirus pandemic, the playmaker will be able to regain his best form once football resumes.
Speaking to ESPN, Herrera said: “Pogba can be the best midfielder in the world. He has everything in terms of qualities. I never saw a midfielder who has all the qualities you can have. He can recover a lot of balls, he can head the ball, he can score goals, he can defend himself, he can attack, he’s so strong and tall.”
Herrara talks about Pogba’s run so far with Old Trafford: “It’s true he had some ups and downs since he came to the club, but when he was good he was really good. Amazing. It was a pleasure playing with him.
“I think all the Manchester United fans want to see Pogba’s best. That can happen and I think Manchester United can do some great things with Bruno Fernandes.”
Pogba has made just eight appearances in all of this season’s competitions, none of which came in 2020.
