Italy and Netherlands have announced their squads for the Nations League semi-final. The fixtures will take place on the 15th and 16th of June 2023.
26 men squad announced by Italy for the Nations League
Roberto Mancini has announced his squad for the Nations League finals. The national coach of Italy will come to the Netherlands with his team in June.
Mancini has called up three debutants for the semi-final against Spain, which will be played in the Grolsch Veste in Enschede. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario (Empoli) and centre-backs Federico Baschirotto (Lecce) and Alessandro Buongiorno (Torino) have never played on behalf of the Azzurri.
Also striking is the absence of the internationals from Internazionale. Nicolò Barella and Francesco Acerbi are missing. After the Champions League final against Manchester City, five days before the confrontation with Spain, they get a rest from Mancini.
Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG), Alex Meret (Napoli), Guglielmo Vicario (Empoli)
Defenders: Federico Baschirotto (Lecce), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Alessandro Buongiorno (Torino), Giovanni Di Lorenzo (Napoli), Alessandro Florenzi (AC Milan), Federico Gatti (Juventus), Leonardo Spinazzola (Roma), Rafael Toloi (Atalanta).
Midfielders: Bryan Cristante (Roma), Davide Frattesi (Sassuolo), Jorginho (Arsenal), Manuel Locatelli (Juventus), Lorenzo Pellegrini (Roma), Matteo Pessina (Monza), Marco Verratti (PSG), Nicolò Zaniolo (Galatasaray).

If Italy settles with Spain in the semi-final, the reigning European champion will come to De Kuip for the final. The Netherlands or Croatia is waiting there.

Ronald Koeman has announced the Orange selection for the final round of the Nations League. The national coach has included 26 players in his selection.
Goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen is missing from the selection, who was still part of the pre-selection. Andries Noppert was missing then, but is now preferred to the NEC goalkeeper. In addition, Daley Blind is also part of the selection despite his limited playing time at Bayern Munich. Koeman has no place in his selection for Ajax players Steven Berghuis, Brian Brobbey and Davy Klaassen.

“This final round of the Nations League is a small final round,” said Koeman. “And that’s how we approach him. So we have to take into account injuries and dropouts. As we are at the end of the season, it is difficult to call up players at the last minute. That’s why we chose to invite 26 players. That gives us the opportunity to deal with any personnel problems.”
