James Maddison shared his desire to win titles but admits he’s still content in Leicester City.
The 23-year-old midfielder has become a sensation at King Power Stadium and has previously been linked to a move to Manchester United.
Maddison scored nine goals and three assists for the Foxes in all competitions this season and also earned his first England cap against Montenegro in November last year.
Maddison was part of a squad that exceeded all expectations, with the Foxes sitting in third place at the Premier League table, and the playmaker hopes there will be more success to come.
“I’m really enjoying it at Leicester,” he told former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry during an interview for Puma.
Nevertheless, he goes on to say, “I have a trophy cabinet at home, but there are no trophies in it.”
Amid reports that he’s been away from the club this summer, he confesses:
“We got to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup and when we were knocked out in the last minute by Aston Villa, it was a feeling I’d never felt before. That was when I realised, I wanted to win trophies. We’re in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, so fingers crossed.”
