In a sarcastic response to the club being accused of trying to avoid relegation, Christian Kabasele joked Watford are “injecting” Covid-19 into players and staff.
The center-back posted: “So let me explain our tactics: we’re doing one Covid-19 injection once a week. We’re having the player / staff member who gets it and so we’re sure we’re never playing again and avoiding relegation.”
Kabasele found a Twitter user who believed that Watford are attempting tactically to prevent 2019-20 from hitting its end on the ground and guarantee that their top-flight status remains preserved.
And this sarcastic comment was a clever way to refute the outlandish theory. Kabasele finished the tweet with an emoji of a man facepalming, in case it wasn’t already obvious that he was pulling the Twitter user’s leg.
