Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has refuted claims that he has a strained relationship with manager Frank Lampard. He believes instead that a great career is in line for him at Chelsea.
Speaking to Marca, Kepa said: “The relationship with Frank is very good. He has shown me confidence from the first moment.
The 25-year-old was dropped to the bench for Chelsea’s new fixtures prior to the coronavirus suspension. He said, “He must make decisions, but I feel I have his confidence, both his and that of the whole club. We all like to play in every game.”
Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer and Ajax’s Andre Onana have both been listed as potential new faces between the sticks. The Blues are reportedly searching for replacements for the world’s most expensive shot-stopper. But Kepa is confident about his future at the Stamford Bridge under Lampard.
This season, Kepa kept six clean sheets of 25 Premier League outings.
