“It was a real challenge for me – fast, powerful, direct. I played against players like Bale, Hazard and Messi and they were all very tricky, but I still consider Moses as my toughest opponent,” Manchester United defender Luke Shaw recently told to English media.
Shaw surprised everyone by his answer for the question of who the best opponent in his career was. As states above, Shaw mentioned Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Bale, and, Hazard, but Victor Moses was definitely the hardest for him.
“People always think I’m kidding when I say this, but one of my hardest matches was against Victor Moses when I was 17-years-old in Southampton,” Shaw said.
The Nigerian, now on loan at Inter, was a real nightmare for Shaw. Moses was one of the best players the Blues had in the 2016/17 season. This was when they took the title of champions of England under the direction of Antonio Conte.
Shaw himself was playing at Southampton then while Moses defended Chelsea’s colours.
