The loan deals for three Manchester United players- Dean Henderson, Alexis Sanchez, and Chris Smalling- are due to expire at the end of June.
But with the Premier League and Serie A set to begin in the coming weeks, James Cooper, Sky Sports News reporter, said the trio were unlikely to return to Old Trafford until at least the campaign is over.
“No official decision has been made as yet but it seems more than likely that Dean Henderson, Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling will all get to stay put at Sheffield United, Inter Milan and AS Roma respectively. With a fully fit squad to call upon, [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer has no real reason to bring them back,” said Cooper.
United are due to return to Premier League action away to Tottenham Hotspur between June 19 and June 21, but probably without the trio.
Sanchez found it hard to contribute to Inter Milan. while injuries restricted the 31-year-old to nine appearances in Series A, he will still play with the club for the rest of the season at least.
On the other hand, Smalling has impressed Roma immensely. Henderson has also been excellent on loan this season at Sheffield United, holding 10 clean sheets in 27 Premier League outings.
It is confirmed that Manchester United will allow Henderson, Sanchez, and Smalling to remain with their respective loan clubs until at least the end of the season in 2019-20.
