As the Inter hero continues to be tied to Barcelona, Lautaro Martinez has been called an “impressive striker” by Lionel Messi. This has further fueled the fire to rumours of a move to the side of La Liga.
Martinez has been linked to Barca for many months, scoring 16 goals in 31 games this season for Inter.
“If I’m honest, I don’t know very well whether talks have been going on or are going on right now, I have no idea,” Messi told Mundo Deportivo. “I believe I’ve already said that Lautaro is an amazing striker, and I know he’s a really complete forward.”
While Messi says he is uncertain whether rumours are real, the Barca star says he will be happy to play at the Camp Nou with his countryman:
“He’s strong, he dribbles well, he scores goals, he knows how to defend the ball … but well, we’re going to have to see what’s going on with him and other players at last.”
