Paulo Dybala expressed his admiration for former Juventus teammate Paul Pogba, saying they ‘shared great things and hopefully will be able to repeat that one day.’
Dybala, having just recovered from coronavirus, will return to training with Juventus soon. As for Pogba, many rumours about him seeking a transfer this season have been making the rounds.
The pair regularly communicate via social media and also keep in touch privately, which only fuelled further reports from Pogba wanting to leave Manchester United for a return to Turin.
When Dybala showed off to UEFA.com his collection of Champions League shirts, he had particular praise for one he swapped with Pogba.
“Of course I couldn’t ignore a shirt like this. It’s from Manchester, my friend Paul [Pogba] whom I admire even more as a person than as a player in football, “La Joya said.
“I had the opportunity to share some great things with him and hopefully I can repeat that one day. But as for the game that day, playing at a stadium like Old Trafford, one of the world’s most important stadiums, was unforgettable. You go in and feel the air in the atmosphere and you breathe it in,” he concluded.
