Roma are said to be making a move for Chelsea’s Pedro, but according to Sport, Real Betis has also emerged as contenders for the signature of the Spaniard.
Pedro joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2015 and made 201 Blues appearances in all competitions, adding 43 goals and 28 assists in the process.
Nevertheless, the former Barcelona forward only scored two goals in the 18 appearances of this term, so it does not seem to be going further in the plans of Frank Lampard.
The 32-year-old’s contract with Stamford Bridge is set to expire at the end of June. As it stands, he will be available on a free transfer this summer.
Betis allegedly made contact with Pedro in an effort to sign an experienced attacker on a free transfer ahead of the 2019-20 season. The La Liga team managed to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon last summer and is said to have big plans on the market, having once again established itself as a top-flight side.
