Barcelona players are back in training after spending two months in isolation to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
To celebrate the return, the Barcelona Twitter account posted a photo of Gerard Pique along with an emoji plane.
“I think we’re in turtle mode at the moment,” he replied, sharing an emoji of his own. Pique clearly thought it was a little premature to go at the speed of the plane.
The centre-back was adamant in suggesting that the return date of June 12 could be too optimistic because it seems like players need more time to get back in shape. He also did not want to risk public safety.
Nevertheless, players from Barcelona and most other clubs now practising on their own after having had COVID-19 assessments last week.
