Agent Mino Raiola says his client Erling Haaland, the Norwegian star, chose not to switch to Juventus because the Serie A champions “would have put him in the Under-23 squad”. He instead moved to Borussia Dortmund.
“Why Haaland didn’t move to Juventus? They’d have included him in the Under-23 team.” Raiola told La Repubblica, an Italian outlet.
If Juventus made a better offer, Haaland’s rise to Bundesliga dominance may never have come true, Raiola went on to say.
Haaland has scored a total of 13 goals in 12 matches this season for Dortmund, as he sits just behind Jadon Sancho on the goalscoring charts of the club this season despite entering only in January.
