Juventus and Inter are on high alert following the possible departure of RB Leipzig Timo Werner after coach Julian Nagelsmann confessed to not having any shot of persuading him to stay with RB Leipzig.
“There is nothing we can do about it. He knows what he has in Leipzig and also what he has with me,” said coach Nagelsmann according to Football Italia.
“He gets many chances to develop himself. I don’t know if it will help him that much if I tell him every day. A player has to feel that he can get better. If he doesn’t feel that, it wouldn’t do any good if I kept on telling him to stay here.
“In the end, it is his life, his career, he can decide that. I can’t think of anything new to say to Timo.”
So far this season he has scored 31 goals and 12 assists in 40 competitive games for RB Leipzig, but the €60 m clause expires on June 15.
Liverpool remains the player’s favourites, even though they are apparently reluctant to pay the release fee and plan to negotiate a lower price.
Juventus and Inter are also on the chase for him for Series A, but the Nerazzurri will only go for him if Lautaro Martinez joined Barcelona.
The striker is hot property, with competition from even Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea on the transfer market.
