Inter striker Lautaro Martinez ‘would have to sacrifice himself’ if goes to Barcelona, said Argentine retired player Lionel Scaloni.
Yet Scaloni has told Lautaro that he would have to lay down the initiative to claim a starting place at Camp Nou.
“He has to self-sacrifice. The coach must find a way to make him a player if he wants to get to Barcelona,” Scaloni told Radio La Red.
“I want Lautaro Martinez to play regularly, but since he’s young and plays for the others too, he should gain a place in the squad,” he added.
The Argentina coach has thus said that the most crucial thing for the former Racing Club sensation is to ‘play regularly’ if he moves to Barcelona.
The 22-year-old has been linked in recent months with a transfer to the Catalan giants.
