Harry Kane may end up in Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich but it is unlikely that he will leave Tottenham for rivals Manchester United in the Premier League, says Tim Sherwood.
Since he was given his big break at Spurs, Kane’s stock has soared, with 181 goals recorded through 278 appearances, and Sherwood believes he can take credit for having put a superstar performer on a very top path.
“He wishes to stay for the remainder of his life at Spurs that is for sure,” said Sherwood on Squeaky Bum Time. However, “But at the end of the day he wants to win.”
Indeed, speculation for the England captain on a big-money move is building towards the next transfer window. As he is waiting in a goal-laden career for a first piece of big silverware, the 26-year-old has himself acknowledged that desire can take him away from north London.
Sherwood, the long-time Tottenham manager, said: “I can’t see Harry Kane leaving Tottenham and moving to another Premier League side.
“Not Manchester United. That’s just my opinion.
“I guess he’d be heading to Real Madrid or Barcelona or Bayern Munich- I can see him there, yeah, if things at Tottenham don’t turn around.”
