Grealish has been an impressive player for Dean Smith’s team this season and has attracted Manchester United’s interest as a potential transfer.
“I don’t think that’s the position for me to ask about our transition business expectations. We’ve been linked to a lot of successful players and any individual associated with Man United looks at that as a compliment,” United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said at his.
But Solskjaer is of the view that Jack Grealish has little added motivation to do well against Manchester United despite being the club’s summer transfer target.
Solskjaer spoke of his challenge ahead of United’s trip to Villa Park on Thursday night:
“There’s no reason for me to think about whether we’ll continue and improve.”
The Norwegian doesn’t think the trade discussions around Grealish would serve as more incentive for him to put on a successful display.
“It is a challenge each time any player plays against Man United. Secondly as Man United is a strong side, but also because the entire world is watching,” said Solskjaer when asked whether he felt Grealish was going to treat the game like a trial.
