Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly looking for midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to swap defender Kyle Walker-Peters.
The full-back (Hojbjerg) is currently on loan at the South Coast outfit. He made one start in the Premier League before the coronavirus pandemic forced football to be suspended.
Spurs struggled during the January window with a proposal for Hojbjerg, who at the time had 18 months left on his deal at St Mary’s. Now, he is not featured in Jose Mourinho’s plans either.
However, with the Denmark international showing no interest in penning fresh terms, it leaves Southampton in a place where offers for the 24-year-old need to be weighed.
As such, the Spurs hopes to persuade Southampton to consider a part-exchange offer involving Walker-Peters according to Football Insider.
Southampton would probably prefer a cash bid. Indeed, if Walker-Peter impresses during the campaign’s closing games, the Spurs may consider the suggestion.
