The same day that the Premier League announced its return, football in Turkey also received its calendar. Namely, the local football association announced that the elite class of Turkish football, the Super League, starts on June 12.
In addition to the league, the Cup also continues, whose semi-finals will be played on June 16 and 18. Thus, Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor, Aytemiz, and Antalyaspor will play in the Cup.
The first team in the table is currently Trabzonspor, which has 53 points, and Basaksehir has the same number of points. Galatasaray is three points behind.
The matches will be played with revised rules and medical protocol, however. As in the Bundesliga, five changes will be allowed in the Super League.
“As FIFA and UEFA have always emphasized, a way has been found to determine the champion and the relegation teams by sports results. That is why the continuation of the season was voted on,” the Federation said in a statement.
According to the Federation, all preparations have been completed, and 18 clubs have voted to continue the season.
