Central defender Dayot Upamecano will not transfer to FC Bayern this summer and will extend his contract with RB Leipzig for one year till 2022.
A transfer to another top club has also been settled for the time being. According to Sky Sport, the 21-year-old is convinced that he can take the next development steps at RB and it’s too early to speak about changes.
The report further speculates that the new contract in Leipzig has already been fully negotiated and should contain an exit clause for summer 2021.
