Andre Zambo Anguissa recently laughed at speculations that linked him to Real Madrid, putting an end to rumours of an unlikely summer transfer.
“I am not someone who is reading rumors or listening to them,” he told Canal+ Sport Afrique. “I can’t claim there was any contact with anyone. I’d be lying to you.”
The player has performed so well of late, that he has been named as a possible addition to Zinedine Zidane’s squad by several representatives of the local press.
Nonetheless, the strong 24-year-old appears to know little about such rumours and insists no discussion has been made about a possible move:
“Oh, oh, no, I have nothing to confirm.
“We have a contract between my agent and I. He controls all about me so I’m only focusing on the field. We’ll be keeping stock of where we’re at the end of the season to see if there’s anything important.”
The former Marseille player is actually under the contract with Fulham but has spent the last season on loan at Villarreal, where his success has caught many teams’ attention.
