Fiorentina has reported they have found six new COVID-19 cases, three of them players and three staff.
Before returning to training, all Series A clubs perform swab tests to ensure that they are all clear of coronavirus before setting foot in the facilities. Torino also announced yesterday that they had found one player positive for COVID-19 during tests.
According Italian media, the Viola have discovered more positive cases this month. It is a huge blow to them, who had already tackled positive coronavirus testing last month with players Patrick Cutrone, German Pezzella and Dusan Vlahovic. Several staff members were also ill and some had to be hospitalized.
Fiorentina announced with a statement released this evening that they have “identified three athletes and three staff members who are positive for COVID-19.” These individuals have been isolated and the rest of the squad is due to begin training tomorrow.
