Virat Kohli’s Room: Virat Kohli, a player for India and a former captain, described a “appalling” situation he had to go through while he was in Perth for the current T20 World Cup on Monday. When Kohli wasn’t looking, someone broke into his room and displayed all of Kohli’s clothing and accessories. In a lengthy Instagram post, Kohli argued that everyone’s privacy should be respected and that no one should be viewed as a “commodity” for amusement.
The Hotel Crown Towers in Perth has since released a statement claiming that all parties engaged in the incident have been stepped down and that they are collaborating with the Indian men’s cricket team and ICC.
“We sincerely apologise to the offended guest and will keep doing everything in our power to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Crown has started working right away to fix the problem. The parties implicated have been removed from the Crown account and stood down, and the original video has been immediately taken down from social media “ESPNCricinfo cited the statement.
“Crown is looking into the matter with the outside contractor and will take any further action required to prevent something similar from happening again. We are also collaborating with the Indian Cricket Team and the International Cricket Council to express our regrets, and we will do so as the investigation moves forward, “It added.
