Bumrah, who also missed the Asia Cup due to a back problem and was training at the National Cricket Academy, featured in the last two T20Is against Australia.
Bumrah did not go to Thiruvananthapuram with the team for the first game of the series against South Africa, despite playing in the second and third Twenty20 matches against Australia.
