Sampdoria have put a hefty price tag on Mikkel Damsgaard to ward off potential suitors like Barcelona and AC Milan. So, in some disappointing Barcelona transfer news, Sampdoria have warned them off Damsgaard, their midfielder.
The promising Denmark international has been performing well at Euro 2020. The tournament is essentially a prominent shop window wherein he can display his talents to potential scouts.
Though Danish midfielder has caught eyes at Euro 2020, his Serie A employers have no interest in selling him. To avoid even discussing a deal, Sampdoria have allotted a price tag to him.
Among Other Barcelona Transfer News – Sampdoria Have Warned Them Off Damsgaard
Sampdoria have warned any suitors of Mikkel Damsgaard that the 20-year-old is “not for sale”. They have done so by setting up a whopping €50 million price tag for him.
Still, Barcelona and AC Milan among those said to be mulling over bids for the €50 million-rated (£43m/$60m) midfielder.
His valuation is thus apparently soaring now, with big-money bids potentially in the pipeline, Barcelona’s being one, perhaps.
However, his Serie A employers have no intention of listening to offers for their hot prospect, Damsgaard.
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero told GR Parlamento: “I don’t know how much he’s worth right now because he is not for sale.
“I am keeping a tight hold of him and we’ll help him to develop, because I want to make a healthy profit at the end of it.”
“As far as I am concerned, he is worth somewhere between €30m and €50m,” Ferrero claimed. “He has talent and he will go far.”
