Dominic Calvert-Lewin discussed the late chances that Everton overlooked against Liverpool, to break their Merseyside derby misery.
“Yeah, at the end it was all instinct, we had a couple opportunities, but it wasn’t our day.” the international England Under-21 told. “Sometimes they get in, sometimes they don’t and sadly that didn’t happen today.”
“Take the point well, but that was a great opportunity for us today.
“That had to come from within today, which I believe we did, and we were unfortunate not to nick it.”
Calvert-Lewin spoke out conceding a Merseyside derby without fans. “It was weird, I can’t lie to you.” he responded.
“It was a little bit bizarre for a game of this magnitude to play without atmosphere and without fans.”
“The position normally bounces and has been challenging to get used to. And that for a living, we are playing football so it’s all about concentration.
“The other aspect that differs is that even when they are all cheering you get the slight uplift from the crowd.”
