Samuel Eto’o advised Xavi to move to Barcelona while Lionel Messi was still performing.
“I told Xavi that whatever happens, he needs to go back to Barca – and I told him he has to do so when there’s still the God of football.” he told Cataluyna Radio.
The former Cameroon star believes Xavi should seek this opportunity before the holder of the six-time Ballon d’Or, now 35, retires. He added that Xavi’s history with Messi would help too:
“He has worked with him and that’s going to make life simpler for him than for anyone else.”
