A 129-page report delves into the events which cast a shadow over the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy. It claims “the appalling behaviour” of those who forced entry endangered lives at the Wembley Stadium final on July 11. So, among the other football news today, Euro 2020 exposes England fans for throwing poo and taking cocaine at Wembley.
Among other offences, some 2,000 ticketless supporters charged disabled access points and some others even punched and kicked stewards.
This “collective failure” from event organisers thus led to chaotic, undignified scenes marred what should have been a joyous occasion.
Euro 2020 Exposes England Fans for Throwing Poo and Taking Cocaine
Louise Casey, an experienced government official, has led the investigation into what went on during the Euro 2020 finals evening. And her findings have made for uncomfortable reading.
Casey’s report states: “The behaviour of a large minority of England supporters was not just disgraceful, it recklessly endangered lives.
“The appalling behaviour of supporters should be a wake-up call for us all. For too long, the actions of a minority of England fans have been tolerated as a part of our national culture (albeit an embarrassing one), rather than confronted head-on.
“A minority of England supporters turned what should have been a day of national pride into a day of shame.”
