Europa League – Lyon vs West Ham
Quarter-final 2nd leg
Prediction
The hosts have lost just once in the Europa League since 2017 and just once at home since 2014. They are my pick to win the fixture as they are up against a club that is on a five match losing streak in away fixtures.
Karl Toko-Ekambi is the joint top goal scorer of the knockout rounds of this fixture. The Cameroonian has scored six goals in the UEL despite making just three starts and six appearances. The 29 year old is my pick to score anytime in this fixture.

Europa League – Lyon vs West Ham: Press conference
Peter Bosz, Lyon coach: “West Ham will play the same way they did at the London Stadium, I think. My team have to be prepared for every scenario. I coach my team to win games, but to do so, you have to take shots and score. I hope we will learn from the things we didn’t do well in the first leg. The fans will be behind us this time, which makes a big difference. The players must repay our supporters on the pitch.”
David Moyes, West Ham manager: “I don’t think we’ve got a second chance – we’ve got a great chance. If you’d have given me this, I’d have taken that off you all day long. 1-1 at this stage in the competition is a really powerful position to be in. We’ve got a bit of toughness about us which I think we showed, playing 45 minutes with ten men – let’s see what we can do when we’ve got eleven men.”
