Midfielder Carles Alena has official moved from Barcelona to Getafe. So, in news of football, live today, Barcelona have sold Alena to Getafe.
Spaniard Carles Alena has played 43 matches for Barcelona and scored three goals.
While Getafe have just now bought the midfielder, Alena already played for the club on loan from January.
Now however, moving on a permanent, long-term basis, the midfielder has signed a 5-year contract with Getafe, according to Barcelona.
Further, the Catalan club reports that they will receive 50% of the player’s eventual resale value.
The agreement includes a buy-back option for Barcelona, who also reserve the right to block Alena’s transfer to another club.

Barcelona have agreed a deal to sell Carles Alena to Getafe as they continue their desperate cost-cutting exercise this summer.
In order to secure Lionel Messi to a new contract, Barcelona have to fulfill the La Liga salary cap regulations.
Barca cannot register their new signings or agree on a new deal with Messi, who is a free agent now.
As a result, the club are frantically selling players to both raise funds and reduce the wage bill. And Alena is the latest player out of the Catalan door.
In a statement confirming the deal, Barca said: “FC Barcelona and Getafe CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Carles Alena.
“Barca reserve the right to 50 per cent of any future sale of the player, a buy-back option, plus first right of refusal on any offer,” they added about the specifics of the contract.
“FC Barcelona would like to thank Carles Alena for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future.”
