After Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel worried about overwhelming Romelu Lukaku, his injury kept him out for nearly a month.
The Belgian has been out since sustaining an injury in a 4-0 Champions League win over Malmö on October 20th. If you recall, this was the same match in which teammate attacker Timo Werner also strained his hamstring (football news).
Neither player has featured for Chelsea since. That is despite Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel’s hopes for a comeback after the November international break.
Midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who injured his hamstring in training late in October, then joined the two in the treatment room.

And now, while there has been still little news regarding Mateo Kovacic and Timo Werner as the international break draws to a close, Chelsea’s star striker Romelu Lukaku has issued a positive update on his recovery from a month-long ankle ailment.
The Belgium international posted several images of himself running on the grass at Chelsea’s Cobham training base on social media.
This has instantly boosted fans’ expectations that he may be able to play some part in the Blues’ next game. Will Lukaku start or substitute for Chelsea when he Blues go to Leicester on Saturday?
