Sunday’s 2-1 win for Inter over Sampdoria that brought them six points behind Juventus’ Serie A champion lead. Romelu Lukaku talks about the match and more to come.
“It was really necessary to score, because from now until the end of the season there are 12 competitions, all of them life or death,” Lukaku told Sky Sport Italia (via) ahead of Wednesday’s mid-table Sassuolo. “We’ve got to focus now and get fired on Wednesday.”
Lukaku made a battle cry to his Inter mates after winning the match, but now admits the pressure Inter will continue to face for the rest of the season:
“Every game is tough from now on, and it won’t be easy for anyone. We’ve done pretty hard in preparation, the squad is in good condition physically, so we’ve had to keep working to get better, so it’s going to be a game every three days.”
