Manchester City are going to start talks with forward Sergio Agüero over a new contract, claims The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
The sides are calm about the situation, despite the 32-year-old Argentine’s deal with the Citizens expiring at the end of June 2021.
Agüero has only played 5 games this season in the EPL for City (0 goals) as he was recovering from injury for a long time and then fell ill with a coronavirus.
And the player wants to hear about Man City’s plans first, though Agüero has various options to continue his career.
It was previously reported that Barcelona could sign Agüero to convince Lionel Messi to stay and Sergio himself would welcome a move to the Catalan club.
