NBA News: After offering his condolences to anyone who felt threatened or harmed as a result of his posting a link to an antisemitic documentary, Kyrie Irving has rejoined the Brooklyn Nets.
When he finally arrived back, Irving made an effort to keep the game’s attention on basketball. The topic of the protesters outside the arena and a potential appeal of his suspension without pay would be saved for a later date.
Irving said after contributing 14 points to the Nets’ 127-115 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, “I’m just here to focus on the game.”
On November 3, hours after refusing to say he had no antisemitic beliefs while speaking with reporters at the Nets’ practice facility, Irving was suspended by the team.
Irving claimed he should have conducted that interview differently while back at the facility for the team’s morning shootaround.
Irving declared, “I don’t stand for anything that is anti-humanity or even near to hate speech. “I feel like we all should have a chance to speak for ourselves when things are assumed about us. I feel it was necessary for me to stand in this position and accept responsibility for my actions because there was a way I should have handled all of this, and as I look back and reflect when I had the opportunity to offer my sincere regrets to anyone who felt threatened or felt hurt by what I posted, that wasn’t at all my intent,” the author says.

Numerous members of the group Israel United in Christ, who are Black men, were chanting and passing out antisemitic memorabilia to fans as they arrived at Barclays Center for the game. The objective of the organisation, according to its website, is to “wake up the 12 Tribes of Israel.”
When asked if he had the support of that group, Irving replied that he hadn’t seen them and that it was “a conversation for another day.”
Regarding whether legal action would be taken against the Nets—members of the National Basketball Players Association, including executive director Tamika Tremaglio—Irving said that would be handled by others.
Irving predicted that some things will be done in the future. “At this point, there is no schedule for that.”
When he shared a link to a contentious video that featured antisemitic language and motifs on his Twitter page, Irving claimed that he was initially looking for more information about his ancestry. He was adamant about his right to post information that interested him when first questioned about it. He was then suspended after refusing to apologise or explain his religious convictions in a subsequent interview.
