Cricket News: Waqar Younis, a former captain of Pakistan, responds to a troll on Twitter with an amazing retort.
When a Twitter user stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had asked the great fast bowler to take up the role of bowling coach and also be a part of the selection committee, Waqar Younis came up with an amazing reply, describing the news as “awful.”
One of Pakistan’s best-ever fast bowlers, Waqar ranks among the all-time great bowlers. He is one of the best fast bowlers ever produced. Between 1989 and 2003, he spent 14 years as an international cricket player. He played 262 ODIs and 87 tests for Pakistan, and he was among the era’s most dangerous bowlers.
According to rumours, the former Pakistan pacer would be named the bowling coach and a member of the selection committee for the men’s cricket squad. The PCB has yet to formally declare and confirm it, though.
A Twitter user who was extremely dissatisfied by the rumour tweeted his annoyance. “Waqar Younis has been approached by PCB for the position of bowling coach and a position on the selection committee,” stated the tweet. The worst news ever is exactly this.”

It’s interesting to note that Waqar Younis was one of the best fast bowlers ever and still owns a number of records that the current crop of players have not yet surpassed. He is admired for being the youngest Pakistani Test captain in history and the youngest player to take five wickets in ODI cricket. He also holds the ODI record for scalping three consecutive field goals.
