T20 series: In the decisive T20 game, England defeated India by seven wickets to claim a 2-1 series victory.
After openers, Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt gave England a strong start, and Alice Capsey and Bryony Smith led England to victory.
The greatest bowling performance came from Sophie Eccleston, who finished with numbers of 3-25, although England’s bowlers consistently grabbed wickets to hold India to 122.
In response, England successfully defended the target, with Capsey hitting back-to-back boundaries to close out the innings.
Shafali Verma, the team’s opener, was bowled by Freya Wong in the second over after she was welcomed back into the lineup after missing the first two games. Smriti Mandhana and Sabbhineni Meghana both suffered cheap wicket losses during the powerplay.
India was 20-3 after six overs and at one point appeared to be having trouble getting to 80.
However, India was able to rebuild thanks to Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh, and Pooja Vastrakar’s late flurry gave them a target they could defend.
The best batter was wicketkeeper Ghosh, who finished with a 33 from 22 balls total.

In response, England got off to a strong start thanks to openers Dunkley and Wyatt, and by the time Wyatt was caught, England was 71-1.
Dunkley was upset at 49 for 7 balls and fell one short following her half-century in the first game.
Vastrakar eventually bowled her, and Radha bowled India’s skipper Amy Jones to give them some hope.
In the final five overs, India was putting pressure on Bryony Smith and Alice Capsey. Dayalan Hemalatha dropped Capsey at 16, putting England 20 runs away from victory.
Although the chase was perhaps more nerve-wracking than England and Jones had anticipated, Capsey proved why she is so highly regarded.
The adolescent performed admirably for her 38 from 44, playing her shots frequently even as India put pressure on England’s score.
In the 19th over, she hit back-to-back boundaries to end the innings.
Smith provided effective backup for Capsey, ending with 13 from 14 balls.
