PSL 2023: Naseem Shah was spotted with the Comilla Victorians helmet from his Bangladesh Premier League team.
After his most recent encounter in the present Pakistan Super League versus Multan Sultans, the 20-year-old Naseem Shah received a fine from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Naseem, who represents Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), stepped out to bat for his team while sporting the helmet of Comilla Victorians, the team for which he also competes in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Naseem was penalised 10% of his match money for violating the PCB’s Code of Conduct by donning the incorrect helmet. Naseem Shah, who plays for the Quetta Gladiators, is one of the young, up-and-coming players in the team and league.
In their encounter against Multan Sultans, Quetta Gladiators just managed to score 110. Sultans scored 111 in just 13.3 overs, making it easy for them to reach the mark. The match’s star, 20-year-old Ihsanullah, completed a fifer and only conceded 12 runs in four overs.
Next, Quetta Gladiators play the Karachi Kings.
Quetta Gladiators are currently in last place in the PSL point rankings after dropping the opening game of the current season. When they face Karachi Kings in the tournament’s sixth game, they will be eager to swiftly rectify that. In the competition, the Kings have also had trouble, as they have dropped both of their games so far this year.
They lost their opening game to Peshawar Zalmi in a thrilling battle that Peshawar won by two runs. They faced Islamabad United after their initial defeat, which they also lost. The Karachi Kings will be eager to secure their first victory of the year after suffering back-to-back defeats.
The Quetta Gladiators’ batting attack, which faltered in the first game, will be judged on how well it performs this time.
