T20Is: The team for the next home series against Australia and South Africa, which will be contested prior to the T20 World Cup, was unveiled by the BCCI on Monday. Mohammed Shami, a pacer who was passed over for the Asia Cup, is back with the team for both of the series but will only serve as a standby for the World Cup selection.
For the series, the team welcomes back Jasprit Bumrah and Harsha Patel, who were unable to compete in the continental competition. Due to their ailments, the pair was not selected for the Asia Cup and was receiving treatment at Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy.
The three-match T20I series between India and Australia will begin on September 20.
Three T20Is and three ODIs make up the series versus South Africa. Beginning on September 28, the series will end on October 11. The team for the ODIs has not yet been revealed.
The BCCI released an official statement in this regard, which stated: “Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be reporting to the NCA for conditioning-related work during the course of the home series against Australia and South Africa.”
