Darts News: Fallon Sherrock lost 6-1 to American Danny Lauby in Milton Keynes to start the final level of PDC Q-School.
The ‘Queen of the Palace’ is attempting to become only the second woman to win a PDC Tour Card and join the 128-strong Pro Tour, following Lisa Ashton in 2020.
Sherrock was one of 128 players fighting for 32 spots, and her first match was against 29-year-old Lauby, but she lost badly and missed her first chance to qualify.
The event’s final stage runs from January 12 to 15, and Sherrock will be back on Thursday with another chance.
Danny Lauby beats Fallon Sherrock 6-1 in his opening game, posting an impressive 97.21 average.

With a 5-2 victory over Wes Newton on Tuesday, Sherrock ensured his place in the final stage.
It was do-or-die for Sherrock after a first-round loss on Sunday, followed by a loss in her third match on Monday. She knew she needed huge performances on Tuesday or she would be eliminated.
The 27-year-old began with a 5-0 thrashing of Robert Whybrew, then went on to overcome Kevin Lane 5-1 before defeating ‘The Warrior’ Newton in a win that ensured she would advance to the Second Stage Order of Merit. Scott Marsh beat her in a last-leg decider at the last-32 stage, putting a stop to her journey.
