Saint-Etienne has been struggling to negotiate a loan extension for defender William Saliba, and the reason is Arsenal.

Saint-Etienne blasted Arsenal for “imposing completely unfair sporting and financial conditions”:
“Alas, ASSE, who merely required the original loan to be prolonged until 24 July, did not reach an compromise in the evening with Arsenal to enable the defender to better train and perform this game, the English team enforcing completely intolerable sporting and financial terms.”
