Atalanta has been debating signing 17-year-old Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito, who is allegedly splitting up with his agent.
Esposito has already turned down the San Siro contract extension. Esposito was also linked to Hellas Verona and Benevento, but only for a loan.
Now, Sky Sport Italia (via) claims that by securing a transfer, Atalanta aims to control the situation.
Moreover, the Nerazzurri want to keep a buy-back option. Inter will not let one of their academy products go that easily, and are keen to retain an option for a buy-back.
The Nerazzurri did the same when Andrea Pinamonti moved to Genoa, so it isn’t unusual for them.
