Atalanta held Inter Milan to an entertaining 0-0 draw on Sunday and effectively ended the league leaders’ eight-match winning run. So, in yesterday’s Serie A football news, Inter dropped points for the first time in 2022, indeed, in more than two months.
Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso produced a spectacular save in the first half, and his Inter counterpart Samir Handanovic responded in kind. Handanovic saved Inter Milan with two crucial interventions of his own, albeit it was after the break.
There were chances aplenty in a battle between two of the division’s most attacking sides.
However, neither team could find the breakthrough despite producing a combined 23 shots.

Musso produced the first major moment midway through the first half. He did so by flying to his right and palming away an Alexis Sanchez shot with his right hand.
Handanovic also rushed out to save a shot, from Matteo Pessina, early in the second half.
Meanwhile, Edin Dzeko should have done better at the other end when he headed over from five yards.
Musso was alert to beat away a swerving Arturo Vidal effort. But Luis Muriel had the chance of the night when he burst clear on the counter. It was in vain, though, because Handanovic reacted quickly to paw away his shot.
An inspired Nicolo Barella backheel flick sent Danilo D’Ambrosio clear in the box in the dying minutes. However, the defender instead shot into the side-netting.
