In his brace against Valencia on Thursday, Karim Benzema scored twice for Real Madrid (making two goals out of the total three his).
Real Madrid went on to score three times after the break. They had a difficult first half, but easily defeated Valencia 3-0 after Benzema opening their score an hour into the match. Marco Asensio also got his name on the score-sheet besides Benzema.
Also, Benzema has now become Real Madrid’s fifth-best goal scorer ever.
The Frenchman, with 243 goals in the shirt of the Whites, is the fifth highest Real Madrid goal scorer. That is one goal more than the club’s legend Ferenc Puskas.
Cristiano Ronaldo continues to top the list for Real with 450 strikes. Raul Gonzalez (323) and Alfredo Di Stefano (308) finish the top three. Santillana is fourth with 290 goals.
