Simone Inzaghi insisted that Lazio would not take notice of their rivals in Serie A.
“We’re just looking at ourselves, no matter what results elsewhere,” he told Lazio Style Radio (via Football Italia) before tomorrow’s match.
Inzaghi’s side host Lecce in their next game and made it evident that his squad were concentrated on the mission:
“We must see which players will offer us assurances to get the game underway. We do have a limited training session, which I can use to get a deeper picture of their general situation.
“The game will be no easy at all. Lecce is a team that plays good football and Liverani is both a great coach and my friend.
“They fight for survival and are with so many other teams down there. They’d also give us reason for alarm at the Olimpico.”
The Scudetto hopes for Lazio took a huge hit at the weekend, going down 3-0 to Milan while Juventus beat Torino 4-1 to open a top seven-point lead:
“We analysed the match against Milan. At Lecce it will be difficult, but we need to go game by game.”
