The purchase option will not be revoked for Mohamed Ihattaren, the Juventus loanee, according to Ajax, the Eredivisie champions revealed on Monday. Ihattaren’s lease term will not be renewed and will end on January 3, 2023.
Since January 2022, the attacker has been out on loan from Juventus, with a purchase option built into the contract. Ihattaren scored four goals while playing in five matches for Young Ajax during the rental season.
Ihattaren only took part in one official match; he was a substitute in the losing cup final against PSV.
Juventus loanee Mohamed Ihattaren will not be bought by Ajax
Ihattaren, who began the preparation in excellent spirits, had to make his breakthrough at Ajax this year. He was hurt, nevertheless, and later left because of personal issues. Ihattaren has already been declined registration by Ajax for the Champions League group round.
“Mohamed Ihattaren’s time at Ajax was a mistake,” according to John Heitinga. There hasn’t been any recent interaction between the attacker and Jong Ajax’s trainer. Before the match against Willem II, he stated, “That was all at the beginning of the season. I also heard it today. At the end of the day, management will decide on this.”
“I’m sorry for Mo the person and the football player specifically. Sadly, things didn’t work out the way we had hoped. Otherwise, I wish him well in his future endeavours,” Heitinga told ESPN. “He didn’t really want to discuss whether or not he was startled by the result.”
“He started off playing with Jong Ajax before switching to the first. That was where he began.” The former defender advised, “I think you should contact the management or Ajax for a response to your question.” He has demonstrated his considerable talent. I sincerely apologise for this and wish him the best in the future. He can play football, and maybe he will soon demonstrate his skills once more,” Heitinga concludes.
